"FOUND: Keys w/ Red Key Chain, Lock, and a Metal Part (Possibly to a Toolbox or Lock?)
Hello Neighbors! We found the keys w/ red key chain attached, lock, and metal part (pictured below) TODAY (Thursday 7/12/18) at approximately 1:30pm in the crosswalk at the intersection of Bodega Avenue & Washington Avenue here in Sebastopol. We took the keys etc. directly to the Sebastopol Police Department, so if they're yours, you'll find them there. (We also posted on Nextdoor.) Please SHARE "“ thank you!
Edit: âž¡ï¸ Chris W. on Nextdoor commented: "That is a hitch lock for a fifth wheel hitch. The keys look like typical trailer hatch keys. Somebody is gonna really miss these!"
Edit: âž¡ï¸ Jim N. on FB commented: "The bar goes to a hitch lock... guessing for a boat since the key has a floater! Don't think a fifth wheel can have one of these!"

Apparently there is an aggressive bird on 3rd street near the trees next to Caballine in downtown Point Reyes that is attacking people. I've heard three reports about this, anyone else been a victim? I'm assuming a mother guarding a nest?

"Greenbridge Gas & Auto, the only gas station along Highway 1 from Bolinas to Bodega Bay, is changing ownership next month. Redwood Oil, a California company that owns 23 stations from Cotati to the Oregon border, has purchased the company and the property, which includes a nearly 6,000-square-foot building that houses four businesses and three residential units. Kentfield resident and president of Redwood Oil Julie Van Alyea said residents of Point Reyes Station can expect "business as usual." There are no plans to change rental agreements for any of the tenants and the only changes planned for the gas station are a number of minor upgrades. The station's three current employees will all keep their jobs." FULL STORY:

"A collision with a ship is likely to blame for the death of a blue whale that washed up on a Point Reyes beach Monday afternoon. The whale was first spotted Saturday near the Farallon Islands by a whale watching tour group. Pictures showed the blue whale stomach extremely bloated as seagulls scavenged the animal's remains. Two days later, the carcass washed up south of Limantour Beach, where scientists were able to examine the 62-foot juvenile female. They found the blue whale had a severed spine and bruising to its ribs and jaw. The Marine Mammal Center said injuries of those kind were likely caused by a ship collision."

Still time to get to Ez's lemonade stand inOlena, hurry! "Yup. We're at it again. And this time we're setting up our stand at Sea to See in Olema! This Sunday, stop by for a cold glass of lemonade and toast remission with us. It's been 4 years since EZ finished 52 weeks of chemo, 50 radiation treatments and countless dressing changes, pokes and blood draws. I'm thankful each day for his health but keenly aware that most cancer kids are not as fortunate. To date, we've raised $17,644. That's 353 hours of research! "No, unexpectedly, the toughest part of the 7.5-mile Dipsea, a topographically schizophrenic romp which was first run in 1905, could be mental. It is knowing that the slowest runners are given head starts and the fastest ones begin at the back. It is like unloading a zoo's worth of animals in reverse order of mobility and releasing the cheetahs at the end." FULL STORY:
