Water rescue on Tomales Bay, Henry One helicopter pulling kayakers out of the water.
Found in Point Reyes Station this morning. Seems like a good idea.
If you live in Inverness or Inverness Park, you are familiar with the legendary Jim Fox, who has served with the Inverness Fire Department for 52 years, including 25 as chief. He has also served as superintendent of our water system.

Jim, who stepped down this month, dedicated his life to helping locals and anyone else passing through. As the chief, he was literally always on call; there when the roads flooded, when trees came down, and most importantly, when someone was in need of medical assistance.

He has been present for local folks on the worst days of their lives, sometimes helping them through the loss of loved ones. Through it all, he did this with caring and compassion.

Thank you for your service, Jim.

Taking over as the new fire chief will be the publisher of The Point Reyes Light and the assistant chief, David Briggs. David has been the assistant chief for the last four years.
