Steve Parratt, the legendary local UPS driver and classic rock enthusiast, is set to retire soon after serving Invernness and Point Reyes Station for nearly 13 years. There is a banner next to the Bovine in Point Reyes Station you can sign if you want to thank Steve. A friend of mine told me this story which I think sums up the Steve experience. A few years ago a local resident had to put his beloved dog down at the vet in Point Reyes Station. As he left the building in a state of deep despair and was walking back to his car, Steve pulled up in his UPS truck with "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas pouring out of the radio. It was a classic UPS Steve West Marin moment.

Thank you for your service, Steve. Carry on my wayward son.
