From the SF Chronicle (and behind a paywall), here is the latest on West Marin National Park Service closures due to the government shut down:

"Stinson Beach: Parking lot closed. Restrooms open.
Muir Woods: Closed.
Muir Beach: Parking lot closed. Restrooms open.
Tennessee Valley: Open.
The National Park Service did not post specific updates about any closures at Point Reyes National Seashore in Marin County."

Sir Francis Drake Blvd still closed both ways north of Inverness Park. The signs say it will be open at 2am. Lots of folks stuck out here until then. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT ALTERNATE ROUTES.

An accident on SFD north of Inverness Park has taken out power lines and snarled traffic. Expect major delays getting to Inverness for the time being.

Roads are slick out here in West Marin today, be sure to slow down and drive safe!

Lots of people asking about the smoke, orange skies and air quality in West Marin today. It’s from some big wildfires in SW Oregon. Apparently the south wind we’re seeing is causing an eddy that’s pulling smoke down from the north. According to local air sensors, we’re in the “moderate” range right now. Hopefully the rain forecasted for tonight will bring a little relief.

If you thought you smelled smoke today, you were right!
