"Prompted by calls from a West Marin farming coalition, House Republicans this week launched a sweeping investigation into a recent landmark, Biden-era deal to end most ranching in Point Reyes National Seashore.

The investigation opens a new front for those in farming circles and their allies who have been pressing officials in Washington, D.C. to unwind the deal or at least give more time to the dozen seashore ranches set to close a year from now under voluntary buyouts brokered by The Nature Conservancy."
Congress has launched an investigation into the controversial settlement deal that is set to end most dairy and cattle ranching along the Point Reyes National Seashore, according to a letter this week from Republican members, including many on the House Committee on Natural Resources.
