"Most cattle are leaving Point Reyes National Seashore, under a new agreement made in closed-door mediation. Land is to be restored, and tule elk allowed to roam. But on Saturday, angry community members flooded a town hall meeting in Point Reyes. Inverness reporter and resident, Lisa M. Krieger, reports.
Via Nicole Bartolini - “Just got this pic from my brother in LA (my family is ok). Thankful for all of the firefighters who are exhausted and working endless hours” West Marin proud. Sending so much love to everyone in Los Angeles.
Tonight in Bolinas!
Two legends at Rancho Nicasio last night. Ramblin' Jack Elliott and Lowell Levinger.

Huge new about Point Reyes today.
Almost t-shirt weather for the sunset at the lighthouse in Point Reyes tonight.
Anyone else having ant issues on West Marin? WMF lives in Inverness and our house and all our neighbor’s houses are being over run by little ants who are in every room and not even that interested in food. Nothing slows them down, natural methods, ant traps, pro exterminators.
An unusually warm and beautiful sunset in Point Reyes tonight. Thx EW.
On Dec 31, 2024 around 10:30am, two surfers were in the water near Drakes Beach in Point Reyes when a 13-foot great white shark suddenly surfaced right next to one of the surfers. The shark thrashed around, hitting him in the leg with its tail before swimming away. The surfers were able to get back to shore without any serious injuries (besides shock). It is that time of year and the sharks are out there looking for elephant seals and harbor seals to snack on. Fortunately they were not interested in this surfer. #shark #greatwhiteshark #surfer
“We're reaching out on behalf of a fellow local firefighter whose dog has been lost since yesterday, Thursday Jan 2. Her name is Josie and any help you can provide is truly appreciated.

Here's the info he sent us. We lost her up on the top of tam (rock springs parking lot) yesterday and she was last seen last night near white gate towards Stinson. (Possibly sighted today at sunset on the beach). Best contact is my phone number: 415-636-2240”
The sunset was a different vibe tonight in Point Reyes. Lots of big fluffy clouds.
Last sunset of 2024 in Point Reyes did not disappoint. See you all next year.
